This movie has opened the path towards self discovery and change. Zoya Akhtar has captured the scenic beauty and the culture of Spain with her brilliant direction. The La Tomatina festival, the exciting adventure sports like scuba diving, sky diving and running with the bulls and those those well-bred white and brown horses running by the road - ZNMD is a sight for sore eyes and makes travel look like a desert, sweet and satisfying!

Sydney is also depicted beautifully and the Troilus And Cressida opera sequence is soul-stirring. But above all - this movie endorses travel like no other. It shows relationships grow close through experiences during the trip. Here it is, this is where it all started, the traveling and the exotic locations in Hindi movies were brought in by Yash Chopra by the memorable and still running Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. It has been an inspiration to many a honeymoons and Eurail journeys. This movie covers Switzerland, making you fall in love with it as Raj and Simran weave their story. It even takes you to the fields of Punjab, those bright yellow flower fields and hums in your ears - Come... Fall In Love... All Over Again.

A more recent take on travel - this movie is about friendship and love. It is about four friends who go on a trip to Manali. The movie shows the Himalayas and the view from the Himalayas. It also has a song sequence with the handsome Ranbir Kapoor travelling across parts of Europe. It takes us to Jaipur, a city that is known for its heritage buildings and palaces, showing us how the big fat Indian wedding actually looks like. By the time the end credits roll, you'd either be left craving for a destination wedding or want to go backpacking to Manali...

#8 Barfi!

Anurag Basu’s Barfi! has caught Kolkata and Darjeeling in their most beautiful moments. Those small roads, trees filled with orange leaves and the dim streets of Kolkata find their way into your heart. The characters of the movie endorse simplicity. You see them cycling through the streets of Darjeeling with great ease or pasting posters on the streets of Kolkata. This movie is a pleasure to the eye and heart.

So did your movies make it to our list? Or is there a really inspiring travel flick you'd want to share? If yes, then please leave your comments. We'd be most happy to hear your views.
