This holiday took us through the lush greenery of the Govind National Park, through forests of oak and pine to the summit of Kedarkantha. The views were majestic! We cycled through some gorgeous mountain vistas from Sankri to the charming hamlet of Mori.
About Kedar Kantha Peak
Kedarkantha, situated in the Tons river valley of the Garhwal Himalayas is a beautiful ridge peak; easily accessible anytime of the year. The trek goes through the Govind Pashu National Park and gives you ample time to soak in the flora and fauna of this protected area. The summit lies at an altitude of 3850 m and reaching the top is very satisfying as you are rewarded with views of peaks like the Swargarohini, Banderpooch, Black and Ranglana. The cycling trip from Sankri to Mori takes you through some beautiful scenery, along trails that snake along the Tons River.
