About the Trip
Flagging off from the Digaru Plains in Tezu, the trail runs upwards towards the Eastern Himalayas, passing through Myodia, the highest peak in the region. The landscape is enticing: a vast maze of forested ridges with fast flowing rivers carrying emerald water. A light powdering of snow marks the upper reaches. The route traverses the Upper and Lower Dibang Valley. The trail has been designed for intermediate riders and is devoid of competitive segments to focus on sharing the experience of riding for a cause.
We will be Cycling for a Cause: to bring light to 1500 homes in Seppa, East Kameng district. We strive to bring light to the most remote parts of the region. Most of the electricity will be generated through renewable sources and we will be connecting those willing to help with those in need.
Every participant has to raise INR 40,000 to be eligible to participate. The amount will be forwarded to the Batti Project.
For bookings, go to Ride for Light.
