About Dayara and Gidara Bugyal Trek
Dayara Bugyal and Gidara Bugyal (twin meadows) are situated in the Uttarakashi district of Uttarakhand. Barsu village, the base camp for the Dayara Bugyal trek is where we begin. The trekking trails are graced with silver oak, rhododendron and pines - besides the level walks through terraced fields, gradual ascents and descents. The Dayara and Gidara Bugyal and their vast expanses, the lush green with wild flowers (and snowy white slopes in winters) - is often considered by trekkers as one of the most beautiful meadows.
