Itinerary
Dayara and Gidara Bugyal Trek
We begin with a drive from Dehradun to Barsu (our base camp for the trek). From Barsu we trek 7 kms to Dayara Bugyal passing Barnala Tal and Barnala meadows. Next day, we move up to Patatuna from where we descend to Gidara Bugyal. Day 5 we move to explore the Barnala meadows. Next day we trek back to Barsu village and leave on a drive to Dehradun.
Day 1: Dayara Bugyal Trek: Drive from Dehradun to Barsu Village (200 kms)>
We begin at Dehradun, from where we leave on a day long journey to Barsu (200kms away). Barsu is our base camp for Dayara Bugyal trek. The drive would take us through the towns of Rishikesh, Chamba and finally Uttarkashi - from where Barsu is just 32 kms away. The drive to Barsu from Uttarkashi will take us along the Bhagirathi river route to our guesthouse with views of village fields and mountain peaks.

Day 2: Dayara Bugyal Trek: Barsu to Dayara Bugyal (3350 m)
Post breakfast, we begin our trek to the coveted Dayara Bugyal. This will be a 7 km trek. The gradual climb will take us through lush green lands dotted with rhododendrons, silver oaks and deodar
We pass the meadows of Barnala, from where the Dayara (Dyara) Bugyal begins. As we move higher, we witness the increase in the number of peaks and their magnificence. To reach Dayara Bugyal, we descend to the green lands below. The pine trees greet us as the peaks gain in on us. We pass by the Barnala Tal, a small natural lake near Dayara, like a gem in this heavenly crown of meadows.
We set up camp in the vast green expanses of this meadow.

Day 3: Dayara Bugyal Trek: To Patanatuna (3500 m)
Post breakfast, we continue our exploration of this vast meadow. Dayara Bugyal during the winters is perfect for Skiers as the green lands turn into enchanting ski slopes. Today we leave on a 7 km trek in search of another place to camp at.This time its Patanatuna - a campsite with views of peaks: Srikanth, Rudregaira, Gangotri I, II & III , Jaonli, Draupadi ka Danda I & II, Black peak, Bandarpunch (or Bandarpoonch) and many others.

Day 4:Dayara Bugyal Trek: Patanatuna to Gidara Bugyal (3750 m)
After breakfast, we trek to Gidara Bugyal (5 km). The twin meadows Gidara and Dayara bugyal make up a vast expanse of green bliss in the Garhwal Himalayan region. After exploring Gidara, we head back to Patanatuna campsite.

Day 5:Dayara Bugyal Trek: Patanatuna to Barnala meadows
After breakfast, we trek to where Dayara Bugyal begins. It is an easy 9 km trek and descent to the meadows of Barnala. We spend the day exploring here.

Day 6:Dayara Bugyak Trek:Barnala meadows to Barsu Village
Today after breakfast we set on a short trek (4 km) back to Barsu village and drive to Dehradun where your trekking holiday ends.
