- Trek to three of the Panch Kedars
Excellent views of many Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi, Dunagiri, Trisul and Choukhamba
Hike through the Kedarnath musk deer sanctuary
- Trek to the Chandrashila top
This trek covers awe-inspiring vistas of the Himalayas and pays homage to three of the Panch Kedars according to Hindu mythology. On the way, we crossed many mountainous villages and heard religious stories from the warm and generous locals. The area is mostly forested and has a rich and diverse floral and faunal population. Trek to the 4000 m high Chandrashila top was worth all the labour. The 360 degrees panoramic views of the Himalayas from here are enticing. Chandrashila is believed to be the place where Lord Rama meditated after defeating the demon-king Ravana.
