Kathotiya Jungle Camp and Adventure Sports offered us a unique romantic experience that brought together minimalist living with enriching natural wealth and exciting adventure sports. The adventure and jungle camping experience at Kathotiya Forest including bicycling, hiking, river-crossing and rappelling was thrilling.
Kathotia village lies in the Veerpura range of Sehore forest division. It is rich in a vast forest area rich in fauna and flora, topography suitable for adventure sports, and the presence of 20,000 years old rock shelters with paintings. The Kathotiya Jungle camp, an initiative of Madhya Pradesh Ecotourism Development Board, is an example of a community project in a beautiful green valley, surrounded by precipitous hill faces, verdant forests, and ancient rock paintings.
Kathotiya was developed as an eco-tourism destination to provide tourism based sustainable livelihoods for poverty alleviation and forest conservation. The nature, cultural and adventure experiences are sure to amaze everyone from children to the restless youth to romantic couples to thrill seeking adults and nature loving enthusiasts.
