Riding a Royal Enfield through this spectacular landscape of Ladakh was a liberating experience. Stark mountains rise up behind dusty villages crowned with monasteries, pristine blue lakes shimmer under skies that change color every few minutes, monks and nuns in maroon robes dot the otherwise sparse settlements, hearts of greenery stun you out of nowhere. With glaciers and rivers and unabashed superlative beauty- Ladakh is a brilliant chiaroscuro of shadows and shades. And of course, the night we camped on the shores of the Pangong Lake: perfetto!
