This trek takes us to some of Ladakh's most remote and ancient monasteries, opening before us vast treasures of the lesser known history of this region. Various offshoots of the ancient Silk Route passed through this region. The Tibetans brought Buddhism here and established the monasteries at Lamayuru, Alchi, Wangla & Marg-gyu. The trail meanders across the stark landscape of Ladakh, through unexplored valleys and along mountain streams.
